Accessibility Statement
fairCT B.V. is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. This statement explains the standard we work to, how far we currently meet it, and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.
Conformance status
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the European harmonised standard EN 301 549 and by the European Accessibility Act.
This website is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Measures taken
Accessibility is considered as part of how the site is built rather than added afterwards. Specifically:
- Text, interface controls and focus indicators are checked against the WCAG contrast thresholds, and the accent colour used for text differs from the one used for lines and marks so that both clear their respective requirements.
- The whole site can be operated with a keyboard alone, every focused element shows a visible focus indicator, and a skip link is provided so that keyboard and screen reader users can bypass the navigation.
- Headings follow a correct hierarchy on every page, form fields carry programmatic labels, and images carry text alternatives.
- Pages reflow without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel viewport width, and remain usable at 200% zoom.
- The site respects operating system preferences for reduced motion and for high contrast.
- No analytics, tracking or third-party scripts are loaded.
Assessment approach
Conformance was assessed by a combination of automated testing across every page of the site using the axe accessibility engine, and manual checks covering keyboard operation, focus visibility, reflow and zoom. Automated tools do not detect every accessibility problem, so the manual checks form part of the assessment rather than a supplement to it.
Known limitations
We are not aware of any accessibility limitations on this website.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you encounter a barrier, or need any material published here in an alternative format, please contact us:
Email: info@fairct.org
We aim to respond within five working days.
Enforcement procedure
If you contact us about an accessibility problem and are not satisfied with our response, you may raise the matter with the national market surveillance authority for accessibility in your country. In the Netherlands this is the Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur.
